The Sight and Sound Top Ten list has been an invaluable filmic seismograph already for seven decades. When it first appeared, cinema was almost 60, and sound film predominant for less than half of that time. Now cinema is almost 130. A Top Ten is more and more almost an impossible task. My list, today, August the 1st 2022. In chronological order.
