Werner Herzog picks his top three favourite English footballers

In this extract from a 1982 episode of The South Bank Show, the legendary German director Werner Herzog picks out his top three English footballers. “If you want to see an earthquake in a stadium,” he says of Glenn Hoddle, “you just go and see him play.”
