Performance
'You'll look funny when you're fifty'. Roeg and Cammells pic only looks better, richer, denser and more dazzling and intriguing with every passing year and every repeat viewing. It may not be possible for cinema to surpass what passes before the lens here.
India Song
Cinema as hypnotism
Dawn of the Dead
When there's no more room in heaven or hell this masterpice will survive.
Imitation of Life
Sumptuous, glorious, unparralleled melodrama.
Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me
One of the most underrated films of all time, now finally starting to get the recognition it deserves.
If....
'Run, run in the corridors'
Wake in Fright
A Canadian director makes the best Australian film of all time. A magnificently monstrous social horror film.
Apocalypse Now
No matter how many times this is re-cut, re-versioned or re-duxed every single incarnation of Coppla's film is a masterpiece
Detour
Greatest poverty row pic of them all.
Duck Soup
Still the funniest film I've ever seen.
