I have written extensively about all these films and have no wish to summarize my critiques in 200 words, but thank you for inviting me to participate. I could have easily extended the list to 30 or 40. I regret not being able to include some of my other favorites: Frederick Wiseman's Welfare, Bresson's Diary of a Country Priest, Dreyer's Day of Wrath, almost anything by Renoir, Pialat, Melville, Ford, etc. But you gave me 10 options.
