I tried to list these films intuitively, instead of labouring over each spot. Guest's "Waiting For Guffman" could perhaps be swapped with Tarkovsky's "Andrei Rublev" (1966), which are works of roughly equal greatness, in my estimation. That said, the sequence in "Guffman" where Fred Willard and Catherine O'Hara audition for an amateur play with a choreographed "Midnight at the Oasis" dance number has given me more pleasure than just about anything on this earth, which I think should count for something.
