This is a painful exercise, though it becomes a little easier if you abandon hope of objectivity and embrace that your opinions are always going to be subjective. These 10 films have all - in one way or another, in different phases of my life, on repeated viewings, in a variety of locations, on differents screens and devices - blown my socks off and exponentially increased my love and appreciation of film.
