Friendly Persuasion
1956 USA
No accounting for taste but…
I’m mesmerised by this Wyler film, with its over-the-top flaws. It touches me deeply, belongs on a personal favourite list, but its people and values just reduce me to tears.
Further remarks
More of a personal favourites list than a 10 best, and even so there are so many more I left out.
