My comfort food. But comfort food that’s rich in nutrients, and which simultaneously soothes and enriches you, whilst leaving you to consider not just the recipe and the restaurant but the whole food chain.
On a different day could have easily been Nights of Caberia (Fellini), Life is Sweet/Happy-Go-Lucky (Leigh), Broadway Danny Rose (Allen), Happy Together (Wong) Vernon, Florida (Morris).
Sad to have had to leave out three 'the's: The Belovs (Viktor Kossakovsky, 1992), The Philadelphia Story (George Cukor, 1940), The Entertainer (Tony Richardson, 1960).
