Comments
These are often profound works of subjectivity and objectivity, proximity and distance, inside and outside, time and memory, past and present, overflowing and distilled emotion, of cinema and the worlds beyond. Sadly missing in action: Ophuls, Walsh, Hitchcock, Ozu, Conner, Powell and Pressburger, Wilder, Kiarostami, Denis, Marker, Scorsese, Lubitsch and so many others.
