Jennifer Lawrence added to lineup of Screen Talks at 66th BFI London Film Festival
Lawrence joins the prestigious lineup of Screen Talks at this year’s festival, which already includes Noah Baumbach, Mia Hansen-Løve, Alejandro G. Iñárritu, Janelle Monáe, Bill Nighy and Aubrey Plaza.
The 66th BFI London Film Festival in partnership with American Express is delighted to announce that Oscar-winning actor Jennifer Lawrence has joined the festival’s prestigious line-up of Screen Talks. Lawrence, who plays a traumatised US marine with quiet intensity in LFF Special Presentation Causeway (dir. Lila Neugebauer), will talk about her critically acclaimed screen career, which has successfully balanced the world of serious drama and blockbuster entertainment.
The festival’s Screen Talks series welcomes special guests from both sides of the camera to discuss their careers with an in-person audience.
Lawrence’s Oscar-winning performance in Silver Linings Playbook (2012) not only established her as one of the most talented actors of her generation, it highlighted her star power; beyond her skills as an actor, she exudes a screen charm that has made her one of the most sought-after performers in Hollywood. Alongside her roles in box office behemoths such as The Hunger Games trilogy and the X-Men series, she has amassed a body of work that cements her status as a performer who fully inhabits her characters. From her breakthrough role in Winter’s Bone (2010) to American Hustle (2013), Serena (2014), Joy (2015) and Mother! (2017) to Don’t Look Up (2021) and her latest film Causeway, Jennifer Lawrence is a magnetic screen presence. We welcome her to this Screen Talk to discuss her career on Saturday 8 October (13:00, Picturehouse Central).
Lawrence joins a line-up of celebrated actors and directors taking part in Screen Talks at this year’s BFI London Film Festival including Mia Hansen-Løve Alejandro G. Iñárritu, Noah Baumbach, Janelle Monáe, Bill Nighy and Aubrey Plaza.
