BFI Film Clubs

High-quality learning about film and filmmaking for 12 to 15-year-olds.

BFI Film Clubs for 12 to 15-year-olds

BFI Film Clubs aim to introduce young people to new ways of thinking about film. They give young people who might feel film isn’t for them the chance to learn, talk about, make and share film through a combination of online and, where possible, face-to-face experiences.

In this pilot year, clubs will be delivered in spring and summer in locations across England. Club locations and information on how to apply can be found below.

In addition to the above clubs, we are pleased to be partnering with the Creative Media Skills Institute to deliver film clubs in Pupil Referral Units (PRUs) in Bradford, Derby, Ipswich, Norwich, Oldham and Stoke-on-Trent and in Fenland and East Cambridgeshire with partner Flipvanmoon.

In 2021 the BFI Film Clubs will be delivered in line with government guidelines on social distancing. Your course provider will provide you with specific guidance, which may mean that some delivery is face to face and some online. Please contact your chosen course directly if you wish to discuss any support or equipment needs.

BFI Film Clubs are supported by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport and the National Lottery.
