Volunteering at BFI festivals
Volunteers are an important part of our festivals, supporting us to deliver great experiences to our audiences while gaining an insight into delivering a film festival and the skills associated with this. If you have a keen interest in film and can freely give your time to support us in delivering brilliant festivals, we’d love to hear from you.
Expenses for travel (public transport within London Zones 1-6) will be reimbursed, and we will provide you with food and refreshments. Volunteers will also get to experience the buzz of the festival and the films and events we put on as part of this.
Our volunteering opportunities are open to everyone. We don’t need you to have prior experience of film or events management, so if you don’t think our volunteering opportunities are for you, please think again. We want to hear from you and why you’d like to get involved.
All volunteers must be 18 years old or above for health and safety reasons.
Volunteering at the BFI National Archive
Volunteers are an important part of helping us care for the collections held in the BFI National Archive, protecting our screen heritage for the future benefit of many.
Volunteering with the archive is a great opportunity to gain exposure to an often unknown but vital part of the UK’s screen sector.
Expenses for travel to the archive will be reimbursed, and we encourage volunteers to apply from within the Hertfordshire region.
All volunteers must be 18 years old or over for health and safety reasons.
