11am to 12pm, Friday 10 December, online
It’s breaktime in a south London secondary school, and in an empty classroom Elizabeth styles her friend Tobi’s hair to earn money now that her family has fallen on harder times. When fellow classmate Nana enters the scene, jokes and chat turn into a more heated discussion about playground politics and their sisterly friendship starts to show small but obvious cracks.
Blue Corridor 15 was commissioned for BBC Arts New Creatives and supported by Arts Council England, in collaboration with Institute of Contemporary Arts London and Dazed. After premiering on BBC4 it has since been screened at numerous festivals and was selected to play as ‘curtain raiser’ to the feature film Rocks in Trafalgar Square as part of ‘Back to the Big Screen’ (August 2021).
In this session we’ll meet screenwriter/director Dubheasa Lanipekun, casting director Stephanie Okoye and editor Carina Etae.
£60 or £30 if less than 10 students attending.
