This interactive in-venue event uses a set text from the Eduqas specification to illustrate fundamental concepts of industry and audiences.

In the morning students will examine the iconic Marvel production Black Panther to gain a deeper knowledge and understanding of the film in the context of audiences, ownership, above the line and below the line marketing, production, technological convergence, synergy and regulation. Students will learn where Black Panther sits within the globally, commercially successful film franchise, Marvel Cinematic Universe and understand how mass, mainstream audiences are targeted within the framework of safe genre productions, applying the ideas of industry theorists.

The morning clip-based session will be followed by a screening of Black Panther.

Schools which have over 20% of students receiving free school meals should ask about a discount when booking.

Please book by 4pm, two working days before the event. However, we recommend booking earlier to avoid disappointment.

Accompanying teachers / adults are charged £1 per 5 students — otherwise student rate applies.
