Vanishing Point (1971)

A trip in every sense of the word, Richard C. Sarafian’s movie combines the hedonistic counterculture of the early 1970s with the ultimate speed-freak fantasy: the lone road trip across the US. The drug-fuelled, music-driven Kowalski, in his iconic white Challenger, ultimately becomes the spirit of the road folk hero, and his very soul ascends into the rebel heart of every driver when he finally hits a dead end.
