Sidney Poitier is centre stage of both stage and screen this winter, with the film season Sidney Poitier: His Own Person playing at BFI Southbank, and Retrograde opening in the West End in March. The play follows Sidney Poitier 10 years before he becomes the first Black man to win the Oscar for Best Actor.
