Sovereign Film Distribution are pleased to announce the release of Kirill Serebrennikov’s feature film Petrov’s Flu out now in UK cinemas. A bright and fascinating movie -a winner at the Cannes Film Festival and a participant of the largest international film events. The film is about an extraordinary Russian family whose life is turned upside down on the basis of the flu, and the boundaries of reality and fiction are blurred both for the characters and for the audience. Starring Chulpan Khamatova, Yulia Peresild, Yuri Borisov and Semyon Serzin.
In London, the film can be seen at the ICA, Rio Cinema, Cine Lumière, Odeon Covent Garden and Genesis Cinema. The film will also play across the UK on 22 February in Odeon cinemas in a special one evening only presentation with a recorded interview with director Kirill Serebrennikov and Time Out Critic Dave Calhoun. Cities include Manchester, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Liverpool, Sheffield, Cardiff Leeds and many more. Screenings are in Russian with subtitles in English. Petrov’s Flu is being released with the support of the BFI, awarding funds from the National Lottery in order to bring this project to more audiences across the UK.
