Assistant curator, acquisitions
Kristina is an assistant curator (acquisitions) at the BFI National Archive and leads on managing the acquisition of digital moving image. She is currently focusing on the contemporary collecting of online video for the National Lottery-funded programme Our Screen Heritage.
She joined the BFI as a video conservation specialist in 2015, working with early British television and helping to preserve endangered legacy videotape formats. Joining the curatorial team in 2018, she spent six years as a Curatorial Archivist in the Collections Development team, working across all areas of the moving image collection including film, video and digital, dealing with offers to the archive, curatorial projects, conservation planning and collections data.
She studied film and television at the University of Warwick and also has an MA in Archives and Records Management from UCL. She enjoys documentaries, film essays, desktop cinema, machinima and logging things on Letterboxd.
