Learn about film curation, archiving and pathways into the film industry.

What you’ll do on the course

  • explore all aspects of film exhibition whilst working alongside well-known industry professionals, alongside this watch a diverse range of feature films and short films
  • gain a real insight into the exciting world of cinema, providing you with skills and experience that are essential to becoming part of our future film industry
  • learn about the different pathways into the film industry
  • visit film archives and studios and learn about how they operate throughout the year, get a behind the scenes look and find out about the different roles available within the film industry
  • work in teams to build a short film collection made up of films and archive film, these will then tour to venues, film festivals and much more
  • become part of the BFI Film Academy alumni and access exclusive opportunities, advice and professional development after the course has finished

This course is based in Yorkshire but open to people across the UK.
