Vic Pratt

Vic has been at the BFI since 1998, and now researches and develops the BFI’s fiction collection. He co-programmes the BFI Southbank cinema strand The Flipside, and has curated seasons of British B pictures and ‘quota quickies’, as well as a British horror retrospective at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in the Czech Republic.

He was co-curator of the BFI folk film DVD release Here’s a Health to the Barley Mow. He was the lead curator on an internationally acclaimed project to restore two early Peter Sellers films, and is currently the curatorial lead on the BFI’s forthcoming Gothic project. He has written for Sight & Sound and BFI Screenonline, and has contributed to BFI DVD releases and the BFI Compendium 39 Steps to the Genius of Hitchcock (2012). He was co-producer on every release in BFI DVD’s Adelphi collection and co-curated the launch of the BFI’s Children’s Film Foundation DVD series.
