Film hire for exhibition
Our bookings team hires out films on 35mm, HD digital format, 16mm or DVD for theatrical, non-theatrical and educational screening in cinemas and other venues across the UK. Prints are available from our distribution collection and the BFI National Archive holdings.

For general enquiries about access to the BFI National Archive moving image collections please contact the BFI Collections Gateway team.

Research viewing services
Once you’ve found out we hold a copy of a film or television programme using the collections search, you may be able to view the film on BFI premises. Unfortunately we are unable to respond to requests for bespoke DVD copies and copyright restrictions prevent us from selling copies.
