Claire Smith

As part of the special collections team, Claire contributes to the care, research and display of the BFI’s posters and designs collection, including acquisitions and loans.

Claire joined the BFI in 2011 after working as an assistant curator at The Henry Moore Foundation and at the V&A Museum, where she helped to research and deliver a series of exhibitions, loans and publications relating to the history of art and design. In 2007 she completed a PhD on the interactions between literature and film 1890-1980, with a particular emphasis on author and critic Djuna Barnes.
