Mr. Turner (2014)This first image has been released from Mike Leigh’s forthcoming, thus far untitled biopic of J.M.W. Turner, currently in post-production in London.
Regular Leigh collaborator Timothy Spall plays the great, romantic artist, in the director’s first costume drama since 1999’s Topsy-Turvy.
The film co-stars Marion Bailey, Dorothy Atkinson and Paul Jesson. The crew includes producer Georgina Lowe, cinematographer Dick Pope, production designer Suzie Davies, costume designer Jacqueline Durran and make-up and hair designer Christine Blundell (who won an Oscar for Topsy-Turvy).
