The BFI Film Fund team looks after the UK’s biggest public film fund, with the aim of supporting UK filmmakers both emerging and established.

The Film Fund supports projects in development, production and distribution, with recent releases including Sightseers, Berberian Sound Studio, The Spirit of ‘45 and Seven Psychopaths.

While Ben and his team will be speaking to an international film crowd at this year’s Cannes film festival, we know that there are many talented and aspiring creatives who can’t be there – so we’re bringing the conversation to Twitter!

This is your chance to put your questions to the team, receive advice and find out more about the Film Fund’s plans for new talent, shorts and low-budget films.

Some questions to get you thinking…

  • What are you looking for in a film?
  • Do I need to be an experienced filmmaker to apply to the fund?
  • At what point do you know if a film will be successful?

Join the conversation on Tuesday 14 May 2013, 1-2pm BST.
