The BFI’s strategic priorities

The BFI published New Horizons for UK Film on 16 May 2012, a public consultation on the BFI’s Future Plan 2012-2017 which lays out three strategic priorities for the work the BFI shall undertake.

Strategic priority one

Expanding education opportunities and boosting audience choice across the UK by investing in education, learning and audiences. Applications are now open for the 5-19 Film Education Scheme 2013-2017.

Strategic priority two

Supporting the future success of British film by investing in film development, production and skills.

Strategic priority three

Unlocking film heritage for everyone in the UK to enjoy by investing in preservation, digitisation, interpretation and access.

The consultation has now closed. The BFI Board of Governors will consider all feedback and a final version of the Future Plan will be published in autumn 2012.
